TOPIC: A friend....

A friend.... 6 years, 10 months ago #1212

I just had a conversation with a friend who seems take the posistion of an atheist. I began to tell my friend of things I've seen God do in my life and I felt like I was doing what God wanted me to do, but I eventually started just getting into a debate (the kind that seems to not have a conclusion that just jumps from idea to idea) I started feeling like I wasn't doing what I needed to be doing.

In summary,

I ask that you all pray that the Lord might open his eyes so he might see and turn to the Lord Jesus. I also ask that you pray for myself that I might do what the Lord wants me to do and to not get off track anymore both in my walk and in my attempt to witness to this friend.

I will pray for all these, my friend.

Truth is Truth. Like I told my Uncle, if Truth is Square, don't call it a Triangle. To many are calling what is Truth a Triangle and they are missing out!

I have found that when I started telling people, 'that I have rejected all religion, and instead have focused on solely the Truth, whatever that may be', I notice that their eyes open wide in curiosity.

I have debated with many Atheists, and they are quite funny, in a sad sort of way, in what they choose to do, and then say completely the opposite of what they choose to do!

Atheists are usually rubbed off by religion, and many have instead flocked to science for their truth. Ironically, Christ created science! And ironically, if they are still searching, they obviously have not found Truth yet!

But I do not wish to put any man in a box, for that has been done to me to many times to count! They hunger and thirst after Truth, but they reject THE Truth; that is, Jesus Christ, the Truth. Quite funny, and sad.

Stick to your guns, as it were. Truth is Truth. Either the seed grows or it doesnt. If they let you stay in their garden (their inner man) long enough to pull weeds (false beliefs), then pull weeds with the Flashlight (that is, Truth). If they get offended, you have found a weed! Tell them you have found a weed in their garden, as it were, and ask them to remove it. Remind your friend of what weeds do to gardens, it is the same thing! Weeds are undesirable, they are gathered and burn in the fire, and darkness covers them. So you see why Adam was a gardener!

We have this programmed mentality that unless we speak ultimate Truth to non-believers, that we are not doing the LORD's Work. I have been guilty of this, and REPENTED, so I may speak on this matter, for I see clearly by the grace of Jesus Christ. It is not my place to forcefeed, but to give Truth completely as he (the other person) is able to digest. I look back at Jesus at the well, with the woman, and he says 'The God of Israel wants YOU to be saved!' and the woman says 'I'll see you later, weirdo' as she calls the cops and they arrest Jesus. Of course this didn't happen, but this almost happened to me. I learned a valuable lesson, that you have to give grains of Truth to people, and Jesus is faithful and just to ensure that whoever was meant to eat those grains will somehow encounter bigger grains, and then loaves, until they reach the Whole Grain Word of God. God is faithful and just. He fed the 5,000 with fives loaves of bread, obviously he knows how to feed people with a little Truth. (Jesus indeed said, 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every Word of the LORD.') It is a faith issue.

For you are welcome to use anything from my website on my profile. The inverse, the Pyramos, and the other stuff have all been given to me by the Father to share with everyone. It is Truth, it is in the Bible. Perhaps your Atheist friend will partake in a little Truth that will lead him then to the Gospel.

Another thing to consider, my friend, about witnessing: EVERY action, EVERY idle word, EVERY decision, is noticed by the people around you. I don't know how many times I have been leading people to the Gospel through my actions, only to say a cuss word in passing, and watch all that work go to waste. We all fall short, this is Truth, but we are also to walk in the Fullness of Christ. THis is Truth as well. As my Pastor said, 'I want to walk like Jesus. I want to talk like Jesus. I want to pray like Jesus. I want to smell, taste, laugh, and look like Jesus. And today is the day to start.' So friend, do not feel bad about debating with him, most Christians never would have opened their mouth to start a debate! You did the right thing, trying your best to witness to him, and then coming here and sharing how it went. Now you have more Truth to share beacuse of it. Now you can go back and witness better, and your friend WILL benefit as a result. This is gardening of the Works of God at its finest.

If all else fails, remember, 'There are no atheists in foxholes.'

GOd Bless you ld50negative1, and your family, and all of your friends,
