I have never posted anything before, and I just joined a few weeks ago. But I would like to request prayer for a close family friend. Her name is Shandra; she is in her early twenties.
A few days before her wedding she was diagosed with MS. That was only a few months ago. Since then she has really gone down hill. She seemed fine just a few months ago. Planning her wedding and all excited. But now she can hardly walk without help. The disease has progressed very quickly in her. When she told her fiance, and asked if he still wanted to marry her. He vowed to marry her and to take care of her no matter what. Like I said that was just a few months ago. She says she feels her faith really growing now. Please keep Shandra in your prayers.

sickness is the greatest demon i have faced. Great because it takes away all good feelings. Feelings we often rely upon to remind us that God is with us. The ways of God are not to rely on what we feel! , and thats why it can be such a great demon.

One thing i must say. I dont take lightly counseling people who are going through something i have never been through. But i know if such were to come upon me , that there is only one way to defeat it. and that way i will share with you to the best of my knowlege acording to Gods Words.

Knowelge of the Word of God is absolutly esential. For that alone must be your faith. As its written , " Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God"

Some seek God to heal them. Some seek God to do all sorts of things. We all seek God for something. The important thing that we soon realize , is that God is seeking something from us. Just as we have request , so does God. God is not a personal genie as sadly we all realize sooner or later , in your friends case she had better learn this fast. And so she will if she reads the Word of God.

The main goal of God for us . His main desire i believe fully , as i have learned of Him by seeing Him. That His main goal is to redeem mankind , from the likeness of fallen adam , back to the Likeness of God. In order to do this we must study how God thinks , how God works , and how we can come from our wreched ways of liveing , to Gods ways , which seem imposible to reach.

Here in we see the goal of Christ and what He came to do. Making a way where there is no way. And that way is through His Spirit. As its written , unless a man is born again of the Spirit , he shall in no wise enter the kingdom of Heaven.

Im speaking this because of whats written... Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His rightousness and all these things shall be added to you.

In order for healing to come to your friend , she has to decide that shes not going to live life her way , but Gods way. For as Jesus says , its not meet to give the bread of the children to the dogs.

My only attemt here is to cover the bases. To make sure she has done all she can do. Else her faith will fail her because her faith was not acording to truth.

So i asume this much now , that sickness has befallen her , and with wisdom she sees its better to live for God than to die . So now you must guide her. Guide her in this i speak , that Gods goal for her is that she walks in His likeness , and that if She believes on His Son , and has vowed to obey Him , to turn from her ways as she learns , then you must assure her that God has made her worthy of ALL that He has!
And that by the Stripes on His back He has vowed to heal her! For God as He says , wishes above ALL things that we prosper and be in good health , even as our soul prospers.

Tell her not to worry about God keeping His part of the deal , but that she should worry of her part. To learn of Gods ways , to seek Him , and to learn of Him , that she might glorify Him in the earth. And with patience wait upon the Lord for Him to preform His Word.

If she has now vowed to do so , then tell her to study and to learn. And to call things that be not as though they were. Tell her with her own mouth to rebuke her sickness in the name of the Lord. And to speak healing over her life. For its Gods ways. As she will soon see in her studies.

As i stated at the very first , this is the most powerful devil i have faced, hands down. I know of powerfull devils of depression and lust and fear , but sickness takes the cake. This is what she must practice in order to see God move in her Life. She must practice useing the armor of God. Now as far as the armor goes , many men have many interpretations for it , but ive have learned two of them by personal experience and so that is why i share this with you. For your friend has a tough battle , her battle is her faith , and if this is her first battle , then boy is this going to be a tough one.

This i have grown and used , and without it i would not be speaking with you now. For we all have problems of some sort , and Most of the time those things that seem to be the greatest curse to us , useualy turns out to be the greatest blessing .

If you want to be a blessing to your friend , you would do well in showing her what she must do , where her faith should lie , and what she should expect to come against her as she practices what God says to do. I can explain a little of what i went through with fear and doubt , and what i learned in the message i posted , about Shield of Faith/ Sword of SPirit .
Read it and seek the Lord for wisdom , and with the Scritpures show her what she must do. For that is what i pray for , when you asked me to pray for her. That this sickenss of hers becomes the greatest blessing to her. That she practices Shield of Faith and Sword of Spirit and learns of the Greatness of God to preform His Word.

Let her know that her faith is not what she feels. But that her faith should only be in what God says , tell her to watch her mouth. that she speaks not what the devil wants her to , but only what God has promised her.

My prayers are for her , for i know of the battle of faith. I still fight it. If she turns to God , and seeks to do His will , and learns of His rightousness to practice it in the Spirit , then she has nothing to fear save that she speaks with doubt and disbelief , for in that she could very well hinder what God wants to do in her life.

God loves her , and i see this sickenss over her life as a blessing to her. Praise God for that which satan ment for harm God will turn for Good.

I spoke all of this because im a firm believer that prayers alone are not enough , save we do what we know we should do(which is to seek Him). All the prayers of all the saints cannot save a man who is unwilling to do what God wants. Nay but we should pray that God help us with our battle of Faith. Help us to stand and endure the attacks of the enemy , whether they be fear or sickness , or doubt or disbelief. Or any other sort of thought of feeling that is contrary to Gods Promise to those who believe. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against pricipalitys and powers.

remember read the post that i posted about the Shield of Faith/Sword of Spirit , and seek God for wisdom if it is true or not. For this is what she must practice , or else she will be overwelmed.

also some other scriptures say that a "merry heart doeth good like a medicine" , to be depressed all the time could hinder Gods healing. Also another scritpure , "what a man thinketh so is he. "

As for me the joy of the Lord comes when i speak His Goodness over my life , when i speak His Promises , they make me happy cause He is good and faithfull and will prefom His Words, And as far as thinking goes , im still trying to do as God here , to see myself not where i am but where HE wants me to be. Tell your friend to do like wise , il be praying for her in this.

So the conclusion to bring it all to a point. Tell her to renew her mind. To speak over her life the goodness of God acording to His words. To rebuke satans work in her life , to rebuke the sickness. To stand in faith of Gods word , which she should study and learn of. And not to trust what she feels . With all seeking God with all patience and deligence ,not just to heal her , but to learn of Him so she can change to His glory. So He desires of us all.
