TOPIC: A parable

A parable 6 years, 10 months ago #1245

I was in the bathroom, no less, washing my hands, and this story came to me.

A king was sitting on his throne. Three tourists from another country were sitting on his red carpet leading up to his throne where he sat. He said nothing. The three tourists were kids, and they whispered amongst themselves, "Why does he say nothing?" "Perhaps we are supposed to do something." "He is the king. I am sure he knows how to speak. If he wanted to do something, I am sure he knows how to do it."

Immediately the king raised his voice and said, "I AM the king. Fear me." Everyone, the three kids, the soldier guards, and everyone else in the courtroom bowed down to him in fear.

The king raised his right hand, arm extended, fist high in the air. "I am the king," he bellowed. "Obey me." All of the people in the courtroom, the soldier guards, and the three kids raised their right hands with fists extended high up into the air.

Then the king got down off his throne and sat in on his red carpet right in front of the children. Then he said, "I am the king. Love me."

Fear, obedience, love, and the three are in one, and of one, and one.
