THE ARMOUR OF GOD:
What does the Word of God do?
1) For the word of God is living and active.
2) Sharper than any double-edged sword,
3) it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow;

Being Strong and fighting against the Dark Powers:
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.
1) For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers,
2) Against the authorities,
3) Against the powers of this dark world
4) And against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Verses: Ephesians 6:12
The Armour Against Satan:
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
1) Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist,
2) with the breastplate of righteousness in place,
3) and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
In addition to all this,
4) take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
5) Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
6) And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind,
7) be alert
and always keep on praying for all the saints.

The Usage of Our Weapons:
1) For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.
2) The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
3) We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God,
4) and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
5) And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete.

Jesus Battles Against Satan II:
Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the desert, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry.
The devil said to him,

"If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread."
Jesus answered,

'Man does not live on bread alone.'"
The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. And he said to him,

"I will give you all their authority and splendor, for it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. So if you worship me, it will all be yours."
Jesus answered,

"It is written: 'Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.'"
The devil led him to Jerusalem and had him stand on the highest point of the temple.

"If you are the Son of God," he said, "throw yourself down from here. For it is written:
" 'He will command his angels concerning you
to guard you carefully;
they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.'"
Jesus answered,

'Do not put the Lord your God to the test."
When the devil had finished all this tempting, he left him until an opportune time.
