Revelation 1:1-2
-1- The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it know be sending his angel to his servant John,
-2- who testifies to everything he saw--that is, the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ
John testifies about EVERYTHING he saw-- THE WORD OF GOD (JESUS) AND THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS CHRIST. This includes other books by John.
John 21:15-17
-15- When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon son of John, do you truly love me more than these?" "Yes Lord,l" he said, "you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my lambs,"
-16- Again Jesus said, "Simon son of John, do you truly love me?" He answered, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Take care of my sheep."
-17- The third time he said to him, "Simon son of John, do you love me?" Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, "Do you love me?" He said, "Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my sheep."
Jesus tells Peter to feed his lambs and his sheep who are his people.
Matthew 24:45
"Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time?"
Jesus has put Peter in charge of feeding his servants at the proper time. I am just being used to give out the food that Peter had prepared for the Lord's lambs and sheep.
1 Peter 1:1-2
-1- Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To God's elect, strangers in the world, scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, ASIA, and Bithynia,
-2- who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood. Grace and peace be yours in abundance.
There are the elect spread through out the world. But at first the elect were in Asia and Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia and Bethina which are present day Turkey. If Asia is going through great distress right now, will present day Turkey be next?
Matthew 24:20-23
-20- Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath.
-21- For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now--and never to be equaled again.
-22- If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.
-23-At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or 'There he is!' do not believe it.
If people have not prayed for the flight not to take place in the winter or on the Sabbath, then it will happen in the winter and on the Sabbath. Because of the elect, the distress will be cut short! Do not believe it when someone tells you 'there is the Christ'.
1 Peter 1:13
-13-Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed.
You will be given grace when Jesus Christ is revealed to you. For Jesus Christ will be revealed to you!
For all who are and will be filled with the grace from God, I pray you will set your hope fully on it.
