Matthew 24:42-44

-42- "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come."

-43- "But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into.

-44- So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

If the owner of the house would have kept watch he would have known when the thief was coming. Therefore keep watch!

1 Thessalonian 5:1-4

-1- Now, brothers, about times and dates we do not need to write to you.

-2- for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.

-3- While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

-4- But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief.

If we were in the dark about the coming of the Lord then we wouldn't know when he was coming.


I understand how it would be difficult to grasp what Jesus said.

How is this:

if the owner of the house keeps watch, he will have known what time the thief was coming. Jesus commands us to watch. I have been watching for the Lord and have found out that he has come...read the other posts by me...then you will understand!

Christine , Jesus has not returned yet. The scriptures make that clear.

you spoke of the scripture in john 10 , but that scripture refers not to Jesus but to false prophets and teaches , those of satan and not of God. they are theifs , 10The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.


matt 24 ; 29Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:


30And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.


this has not happen yet. you see? this is the second comeing. Jesus said dont be dicieved. for this is the second comeing! Jesus is not an angel. but He is the Son of the Liveing God , for in what knowlege have we that at any time the Father called any His Son save One? Even Jesus His only begotton. And in Him we all become His sons.

i know not where you studied , or where you got your knowlege. but its far differnt then that which i have read and understood of the Lord.
maybe im just mis understanding what your trying to say. forgive me if i am. and correct me. i dont wish to mis judge your words. but this thing to me seems off , this thing you speak of , that the Lord has already returned , and that Hes a mighty angel .

im not trying to pretend as if i know what you believe , but the things you speak of remind me of jahovahs witnesses. yet in some ways not so much.
