Hi brothers and sisters.

There is something that is on my heart right now that I want to discuss with you. I just don't know how to bring it. So I will start with the following verse.

Psalms 63
1 O God, Thou art my God; early will I seek Thee. My soul thirsteth for Thee, my flesh longeth for Thee, in a dry and thirsty land where no water is,
2 to see Thy power and Thy glory as I have seen Thee in the sanctuary.

I often say I thirst for God. But came this question to my mind. What is exactly that I thirst from God? Many answers came to mind, like peace, love but lately I realized that the most powerful thirst is Power. So I have the following questions for you that I am trying to answer. Of course, I will seek the Lord for these but I want to know what you all think of this. Just to share.

Is it the Lord who put this thirst for power there? Or is it because of the fall? It's like we were made to thirst for Power. I surely want to see the Power of the Lord but its like I want to have power too.

My thirst is for God's love and knowledge of the wisdom of His word, which gives us power against the evil forces. If you look in Ephesians chapter 6:13-20 it will help you. I may be off on a different tangent but I believe that you thirsting for is God's power in His word? In this end-time, we must be knowledgable in the Word and study it often because there are spiritual battles going on as I speak (or write). Its not easy to find out what our thirst for God is! I've made many mistakes by not listening to what God has to say to me! So before I read the bible, I first pray that the Holy spirit will help me understand His word. Not just read with my head, but read with my heart and spiritually ingest the Word. I still thirst DAILY for His word and His power. I hope this helps you in your spiritual walk.

If any man lacks Thirst or desire for God , if any man lacks Zeal , just ask Jesus and He will Give it to you. Where else does it come from?

Dear Sylvain,

Just be careful what kind of power you thirst for. If it is personal power it is a tool of the enemy to make you fall. If it is to see God's power in action and to glorify God, then ask God to reveal his purpose and if this
thirst is from him. Anything that glorifies "us" and not the Lord is suspect. If you feel that God wants to work through you to heal, etc. just remember the power and glory are always only His. I'm sure you know this but just felt like it needed to be said for whoever will read this and as a reminder for all of us as well.

There has been three things which I have asked for.

1. The Power to witness to the saving of Souls.

2. Every Gift of the Holy Spirit, but only if it's use will Glorify God.

3. To be the Servant that the Holy Lord God wishes me to be.

Beyond this, there is nothing worth having.
