Can any one tell me if I should be alarmed? Our small (6 to 8 people )Wednesday night Praise and prayer time at church has moved into and time of laying on the floor "soaking" in the Spirit of the Lord. Praise music is played and you just relax and soak for 45 minutes then we take communion and then close in prayer. I don't see soaking in the bible and when I try a search about the subject on the net, I am alarmed that it is closely associated with the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship. and the Toronto Blessing. Satan is so tricky that I am worried that what seems of God may not be. Can anybody help?
Thanks, Mark
Hi themessenger,
From what you are describing, I would not take part in it. for I do not see this as worshipping the Holy Lord. All that I see is people listening to music, in the name of worship. I see no worship in it.
If you really want to
soak in the Lord, then start praying day and night, read the Bible and take communion daily. Then you will find what the real soaking in the Lord is.
You have reason to have doubts, for it is the Holy Spirit which is ringing those alarm bells for you. And anything to do with the Toronto Blessing is to be stayed away from. I have personally tracked many of the Satanic things which went on there, from their source in Africa, to Toronto, to England, to all over the world, including to America at the Brownsville Fl. Revival, and on to so many churches which were destroyed after their pastors went to any of these so called Revivals.
The Lord God is guiding you, continue to listen to what the Holy Spirit is telling you, as you have been. Any time you start having doubts if something is of God or not, then it probably is not of God. Go back to the Holy Lord God Jesus Christ for the answer and the Lord will make known the truth to you.
