Hi brentlovesmary,
At first, I wasn't sure how to respond to you. I took some time and reread the posts and responses from when you first arrived.
Now, you've come back again and made a claim:
all i said was for them to follow God and not man nor men
I looked back over what was said, and I see that that's not really the case. You began by saying that all should follow God and not man, which is sound and true, but that was just the first thing.
I also see that it wasn't this first thing that became an issue, but what you said after it.
You've shared before that you seek out christian forums and chatrooms in order to tell them how to find God and to warn about the times.
And that was your intent here, you came here and said that we should follow only the Lord, but before you had the opportunity to speak about the way to find God, you gave a warning about wolves, and you made an insinuation: That there are wolves here, and not just that. You insinuated that not only are there wolves here, but that we should be worried about them.
Now, the scriptures are clear about wolves in sheep's clothing. They are also clear about tares in the wheat. Are the odds in our favor that the fellowship on this forum is without these things? No, not really, the odds aren't good, but what difference should that make for those of us who follow the Shepherd?
Our Lord knows what is here and what is not here, and He is fully able to deal with wolves
in the time and manner of His choosing.
And this is where the difference comes into play.
When you first warned us that there are wolves out there, and that, worse, they might be here too, I took that before the Lord.
I asked Him, who is the guy Lord, coming to warn us? Did You send him? Are you going to deal with a wolf problem in the forum?
And the answer was: No, I didn't send him, and don't worry about the wolves.
And I saw that others had done the same, they asked the Lord about who you were and why you were here, and He told them.
You thought you had come here with wisdom and understanding, and you did of a sort, and you came here to share it with us as you have gone to other places.
I do not know what happens when you go to other places, but I know that there are those here in this forum that do seek the Lord, and hear from Him, and know His voice, and choose to follow Him. There are sheep here that know and are known by their Shepherd.
So what do you do when another sheep comes into the flock and wants to help you find the Shepherd you are already following? And says, "You better find that Shepherd, because there are wolves out there, and, oh my, there might be wolves here too, and probably are!"
And like a good sheep, you look to your Shepherd, and He just shakes his head no.
What do you say to that sheep, when you know that what they doing and saying seems good to them, but is out of themselves, and out of step with the Shepherd, because for some reason they don't seem to see or hear Him? What do you do when a sheep says, "You should only follow the Lord, or the wolves will get you. Follow me, because I will show you how to find Him."
What do you do when one of the older sheep steps forward to try and talk to this sheep, to try and wake them up, so that that sheep too will see the Shepherd so we can all follow Him together.
What do you do when that sheep looks around and says, "Oh, I see what we have here, you are all following this older sheep! This isn't an older sheep at all but a wolf! Don't follow him, follow me to the Shepherd!", and then gets his feelings hurt because we know that the older sheep is not a wolf (because the Shepherd said so), and we reject the wisdom and understanding that this strange sheep is trying to share with us (because we have to follow the Shepherd, because He is only one that is wise and who understands), and that sheep eventually wanders away when it becomes apparent that none of the other sheep are going to follow him.
What do you do when that sheep comes back again, still stinging from a bruised ego?
The answer is you do what you always do: You look to your Shepherd.
Lord, this guy is back, what's up? Is he a wolf in sheep’s clothing? Is he one of the ones you warned us about that would come in these days saying 'Here He is, there He is' just so he can lead us away and devour us? Should I do anything?
So, I find myself writing this post telling a story about sheep, because the Shepherd, my Shepherd, told me to read over the older posts before I respond, and while I was doing that He explained the situation to me.
Then this is what He said, that I was to explain it to you, brentlovesmary, because you really don't understand. That this was going to be a choice set before you, this explanation of the situation, and however this plays out was going to reveal whether or not you are a wolf in sheep's wool or just a sheep with a hearing problem.
So there it is.
You think we follow men, but that's just because you don't see or hear who we are following. You think we despise the advice to follow the Shepherd, but you can't see that that's what we are doing, even before you came to give us such advice.
If you are a true sheep, you should be interested in what the Shepherd is saying, and where He is leading, and you are welcome to stay with us and learn to hear Him or hear Him more clearly.
If you are a wolf . . . well wolves in sheep's clothing have no interest in Him, just the sheep they can devour. Only the stupid ones try to do it in the presence of the Shepherd. The Shepherd might let them hide in the flock for a time, but the Shepherd is no fool, and their days are numbered.
As for me, I don't worry about them.
So the choice is set before you.
You don’t have to answer me, just Him (the Shepherd.)
