Hi everybody,
I would like to initiate this thread to invite discussion about ways to spread the message given to Ray to a wider audience, things that perhaps everyone of us could do. For starters, I would like to respectfully post some of my thoughts on the matter. Now, I realize that I may appear to be criticizing the manner in which it has been going on before, in obedience to the Lord’s will, but I have it in my spirit still to write it for everybody to see. If we discuss it as a community of believers, I trust that the Lord will guard us from falling into deception and presumptuous behavior. Perhaps He will just tell me to shut up, if this is the right manner. His Will be done here and everywhere. I have read about some difficulties encountered by people on this list when they gave the Prophecy book to their friends. Well, great kudos for them for going that far, I myself have never dared to do something like that. Still, I fear that by giving out books we cannot really achieve much of a coverage. For one thing, the book costs a lot, and how many of them can anyone of us buy? But more importantly, I fear that the way the Prophecy book is set up, it is like the Bible, you need a lot of focus and direction from the Holy Spirit to read and understand enough of it to get the message. And then you get this case of people saying that it just does not make sense. How much sense does the Bible make if you just leaf through it? After all, does anybody here think that giving out Bibles on the street, or dropping them into mailboxes, is going to have a big impact on the recipient? I somehow don't. Well, the Prophecy book makes more sense than the Bible, but it still is not exactly a novel by Hailey. I fear that by trying to distribute the Prophecies the way they are right now, we are putting a stumbling block before ourselves, and more importantly before others. For ourselves, we are severely limiting the number of people we reach, which is horrible in itself. Perhaps, for many of us, this is limiting the reach to zero, because many people just do not have the nerve to give out a Prophecy book. For others, we are denying them access, we keep this scroll sealed that they may not read it. And you know, I feel the scariest thing is, we may be ending up committing spiritual entrapment. If we give someone a Prophecy book, and for whatever reason it did not work out to spend half an hour explaining in great detail what it says and how to read it, what then will happen if that person does not read it? Will we say then, we rose early to tell you the message, and you turned your back on it? Will we rebuke him? Will it be love on our part to set up such a person for failure, that it may be written of him that he was given the message and refused it? Perhaps the fault is on our part, in our failure to communicate the Word of God in a manner that can at least be grasped to the point of intelligently accepting or rejecting it. Considering the practice of the Biblical apologetics, I feel that we need to do some apologetics for the Prophecies too. Perhaps we should prepare materials that succinctly describe the contents of the Prophecies, that categorize and enumerate the various key statements, whether factual prophecies, personal exhortations, directions to do things, letters to the pastors and the churches, messages to the nations. I think that the exact manner in which the Prophecy book is set up, it is intended to cause a specific rhetorical impact on the reader who is reading them intently, but it is not really optimal to get people's attention, to draw people to it. After all, you cannot optimize a single text to work ideally for all purposes. Perhaps the Lord has left it to us, under his Guidance, to do this kind of apologetics summary, much like He left it to us to write elucidating commentary on the Bible. A few words about my experience. I have produced and posted some posters, a printer page each, with a short enumeration of just the factual statements by Ray. There is certainly something to commend the approach. Printing such, low quality no doubt, black and white posters is cheap ($.10 for me), so it was not hard to make and post them by the hundred in places where people would read them. By listing the key factual prophecies, I hope that with the help of the Holy Spirit at least some level of name recognition has been achieved in the people who read them. I do not think that the majority of them actually went home to browse prophecy.org (how many of them actually remembered the url?), but perhaps they will remember some of the statements, like San Francisco and Paris explosions, or the revolution in Russia, the things that seem to be quite close to us by now. Perhaps they will remember the prophecy when these things start happening. And I also learned an important lesson along the way, that when putting up posters outside, it is necessary to use strong tape and to make aerodynamic holes in the paper, because otherwise when there is wind, it will get blown off, just because air pressure in moving air is less than in the air under the poster, unless there are holes to equalize the pressures. Well, so that's better than nothing, but it still leaves a lot to be desired. Clearly, the goal is to get people reading the Word of God now, not to leave them off for the indeterminate future. And the goal is to give them some guidance in reading it too. So, I figure, perhaps we could produce some kind of promotional booklet for Ray's message. Something that could be well written, have enough space to incorporate a succinct summary of the Prophecies, and something that everyone of us could print cheaply in quantity. We could then distribute it, give it to people, drop it into mailboxes, leave it where people can pick it up. We could also take it churches and use it as a guideline to witness, not just come over there with a book and say "you know, I am a follower of that prophet so and so, why don't you believe me, Pastor?" And the same goes to any kind of witnessing. So I would like to propose to the community to come to this thread and to contribute your ideas and your writings. We can write and polish such a booklet together here on this list. We can discuss ways to print it and to distribute it. We can discuss other ways to spread the message. We can discuss other practical steps that the Lord may direct us to do. Well, the Lord be with all of you. Thank you for reading thus far, and please tell me what you think. |

Hi there Watcher,
It is good to hear from you, and you make some very good points. And more people should do just as you suggest. Now I Rejoice that someone cares, but I do have a few comments about your suggestions. This is not to put you down, for you have many good ideas there, And I certainly do support most of them, but good as they are, some may NOT work, and I will speak of the reason that they may not work. For they have already been tried. I would that many would take to heart what you have said here and put some of it into practice. For the Prophecies can never have too much publicity. I too welcome a discussion on this subject, for I am only one, and on this subject I most certainly am NOT the final or great authority. I am sure that there are many out there who may come up, with the Leading of the Holy Spirit of God, with ideas which none of us has yet thought of. I will make a few comments within your post so that no one becomes confused at what is being said by whom about what. I will use a Red text to separate out my comments from yours. watcher wrote: Hi everybody, I would like to initiate this thread to invite discussion about ways to spread the message given to Ray to a wider audience, things that perhaps everyone of us could do. Oh Yes, most definitely For starters, I would like to respectfully post some of my thoughts on the matter. Now, I realize that I may appear to be criticizing the manner in which it has been going on before, No, I do not believe that any of us takes this to be in the spirit of criticizing anything. in obedience to the Lord’s will, but I have it in my spirit still to write it for everybody to see. If we discuss it as a community of believers, I trust that the Lord will guard us from falling into deception and presumptuous behavior. Perhaps He will just tell me to shut up, if this is the right manner. His Will be done here and everywhere. Amen I have read about some difficulties encountered by people on this list when they gave the Prophecy book to their friends. Well, great kudos for them for going that far, I myself have never dared to do something like that. Yes, some have taken it on themselves to reprint and pass out copies of the Prophecies. I do understand the effort which goes into such a project, for when there were only about 800 prophecies, I did print, bind and give out around 30 copies, of which I am sure all but two or three went into the garbage. Yet I do not regret it. Still, I fear that by giving out books we cannot really achieve much of a coverage. That is certainly true, yet this coverage is reaching people who would never have been reached by any other means. And even if they throw the books away, they have been made aware of the Prophecies existing. For one thing, the book costs a lot, and how many of them can anyone of us buy? It is true that the cost of the professionally printed and bound books have a high price in spite of the cost to publish being kept to a minimum with no prophet to Raymond expected. But, You can download every one of the prophecies, print them, and put them together into a book yourself, at a high labor cost but at a very low dollar cost. But more importantly, I fear that the way the Prophecy book is set up, it is like the Bible, you need a lot of focus and direction from the Holy Spirit to read and understand enough of it to get the message. Yes, Yes, Yes, for the prophecies of Raymond are in the form of Parables, and most will not understand, but it is this very form for the prophecies which has resulted in them being shown to millions of people all over the world, as one who sees it says to another, look at this, what do you make of it?? And another has just been introduced to the Prophecies. And then you get this case of people saying that it just does not make sense. How much sense does the Bible make if you just leaf through it? Yes again, you are right on top of it. That is absolutely correct, for it is only the Holy Spirit of the Holy Lord God who can explain to you the meaning of the verses in the Bible, and by the set up of Raymond's Prophecies, it is only the Holy Spirit who can show you the true interpretation of them. So As the Lord told the Apostles, it is not given to all to understand, but it is given to you to understand. so we see that these prophecies are for the people selected by the Lord God to understand. After all, does anybody here think that giving out Bibles on the street, or dropping them into mailboxes, is going to have a big impact on the recipient? I somehow don't. Well, the Prophecy book makes more sense than the Bible, but it still is not exactly a novel by Hailey. you are right, most of the people you give a bible to will not even open the cover. Are those bibles then wasted? I think not, for while some will end up in the trash dump, there are many more which will just be laid down some where, and a curious person will pick it up and start reading it. that is why the Gideon's put bibles out everywhere. To reach the few who need it and will actually read it. I have both given out prophecy books without any explanation other than what could be written in a letter to go with it, and I have spent time with others showing them important prophecies and giving them the best understanding that I had at the time, and I found that it made very little difference in anyone actually reading the prophecies. Will we say then, we rose early to tell you the message, and you turned your back on it? Will we rebuke him? No, never will I rebuke anyone for not reading the prophecies which I have placed in their hand. Will it be love on our part to set up such a person for failure, that it may be written of him that he was given the message and refused it? Perhaps the fault is on our part, in our failure to communicate the Word of God in a manner that can at least be grasped to the point of intelligently accepting or rejecting it. How can one explain the meaning of a parable if one does not understand it them self?? And that is the whole problem, the Prophecies of Raymond are Parables. And very few have been given the understanding, and even those who have been given the understanding find that their attempts to expain it to someone else usually ends in speaking to a brick wall, you can not get through. That has been done. I believe that you are not aware of where to find that type of information on the internet. see http://www.barr-family.com/godsword/prindex.htm and there was another book which was made up at the direction of the Lord God Jesus Christ and distributed without cost to those who received them, they have been republished by several and is distributed on the internet, see http://www.barr-family.com/godsword/book/index.htm by Jeanne Beech, and Raymond himself published both letters and a very short sample booklet to be passed out to newspapers, TV stations, Radio stations. This book is still available on Raymond's site as "Mini prophecy book" of 200 select prophecies, which can be downloaded, along with a Press release letter, and printed easily, which anyone can do and give out to their local TV stations and to their Local Newspapers. Raymond also paid for an ad on Cable. I point this out so that you may understand what might work and has been already tried. But even so, I stand with you in that there are many on Ray's list today that was not there when these first came out, and it would be great if the people on the List would now again download the "mini prophecy book", which is very short, and can be stabled together, not needing fancy binding methods, and sent copies of to their TV stations and to the Newspapers again. I am with you in that the people can publish their own ad anywhere, even as you say, on posters, at little cost. With a computer and a printer today, you can make 250 posters for about .03 cents each on your own printer. We must at all times remember that each and every prophecy has been given to Raymond with the exact wording which Raymond has published. Raymond cannot change even one word, for the words are NOT chosen by Raymond, they are the exact words of the Lord God, and so Must be published with out any change in word or style or presentation. for they are given in exactly the Way that the Lord God commands them to be published.. With that in mind, you can try to summarize on your own, but be aware that man's interpretation of what a prophecy is saying will always be wrong!! A few words about my experience. I have produced and posted some posters, a printer page each, with a short enumeration of just the factual statements by Ray. There is certainly something to commend the approach. Printing such, low quality no doubt, black and white posters is cheap ($.10 for me), so it was not hard to make and post them by the hundred in places where people would read them. see above what cost could be. By listing the key factual prophecies, I hope that with the help of the Holy Spirit at least some level of name recognition has been achieved in the people who read them. Good, I can tell that the Holy Spirit was leading you in how to do this job. Yes, Yes, they will most certainly remember when the bombs start falling, the Holy Lord will make sure that they do remember that they were told. That is a good point to remember, thank you for this input. Covered this above with the "mini prophecy Book" already available on Ray's web site. Amen to that. Note from Jack, I have the entire prophecies up to 2 Aug. 2004 ready to print, in two .doc files, The first file covers all up to prophecy 1138, which I split in two parts when I print it, due to binding constraints. (I use spiral binding, but three ring could also be used.) and the second file which covers from there to 2 Aug. 2004. (prophecies since then have not been added to the books in final form yet.) These print up into three volumes each from 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch thick, for about 800 pages total = 400 sheets of paper. Two column to a page. Including the pictures. Each prophecy is exactly as Raymond has given it with out change of any kind. I do still from time to time give out copies of Raymond's Prophecies, Spiral bound, and covers plastic covered. I would guess that my total cost of printing and binding for a set is about $5 (yes I have the equipment to do so. and NO the publishing companies cost them very much more to print, bind, and ship limited copies, which is why The Books from Raymond's Publisher cost so much more. Print on demand is a very expensive way to print books. His Publisher has to make a profit, while Raymond and I do not.) It should be noted that any of the Office supply companies (Like Office Depot, and Office Max) usually will let you use one of their spiral punch machines free, and you buy your spiral binding for about .10 cents each, and use their machine to bind them free. If any of you receive permission from Raymond to receive copies of the .doc files from me, for your own printing, I will make it available to anyone who has received permission from Raymond, for you understand that while the prophecies are free on line for you to download and use, I do not feel free to provide copies of the Prophecies ready to print in book form with out The Approval of Raymond. For Raymond has not seen my copies to verify that they are an accurate copy of the Prophecies he has given. I must also note that I probably can reprint the prophecies at a fraction of the cost that you can, for I refill my ink cartridges of my printer, with the result that each ink cartridge cost me only penny's each instead of dollars, for I buy my ink in bulk. Thank you for this post Watcher, perhaps it will lead some to put out copies of the prophecies. |

ok, it is good that we have got some kind of discussion going. Perhaps the Lord God does not mind it, and perhaps others will come and join in.
Rev Barr, let me clarify my thoughts a little bit and respond to your comments. First of all, thank you for pointing me to the Mini prophecy book. I will elaborate on my thoughts here with some reference to it. Also, please note that I am very much aware of the fact that I can only tentatively speak about things still to be done, presumably by me in considerable part, whereas you speak with confidence of what you have already accomplished. We should all seek to bear fruit for the Lord, and I have little doubt that you have indeed done very good job there. So first of all, let me reiterate my original proposition: that it would be good to produce a short, i.e. 2-4 pages max, easily distributable booklet summarizing the Prophecies in a manner that will make people interested in reading them. You are absolutely right, that the texts themselves are available to everybody, at least in this blessed and wealthy country, over the web. So the goal is not to reprint them, as was done in the mini book, but just to get people to go to the web and to read the right texts with the right mindset. Let me make the discussion a bit more concrete. Perhaps the outline could be as follows: some catchy title (for the posters I have been using "End of the World IN SOME DETAIL" but this is certainly all open to discussion) 1. Introduction: who Ray is and what he talks about, in a few sentences 2. outline of the text 3. Factual predictions soon to come, e.g. before the World War: list the factual, verifiable statements, there aren't that many of them, with the prophecy numbers. For instance, San Francisco, Korean war, Paris, rebellion in France (?), the rise of the False Prophet in the Mid East, Russian revolution, earthquake in California, financial and economic collapse. Well, recently there was one about the coming bloody war in Congo and the persecution of Christians. Boring things like Japanese remilitarization under the Hornet and their alliance with the False Prophet. Anything else? We should be mindful of space here, minor things might just detract from readability. And a key point to note here is that all of these things are NOT in parables. They are very explicit, the Lord Jesus Christ be praised. 4. Things probably already fulfilled, a few sentences and a reference to a longer discussion on the web. For example the war in Congo in August 1998; the Republican Elephant eating up some dried up straw and starting the flame of the world; the preparation of the Horse and the Hound, the bombs and the bullets to seek out the dogs of the devil (in Afghanistan), the Fox al Qaeda. Perhaps even the sense of prediction of 9/11 in the vision of a gold-braided Arab coupled with visions of the burning church in Italy. This section should not merit much space because for one thing it is done, nothing to worry about, and for another there is no solid immediate proof for the prophecies really occurring when they are dated. The FBI might be able to verify it, but the average reader is not going to bother, and it will really beg the question. 5. Longer range statements: the rise of the beast in a few points, including Islamic framework. Wars in Peru and Bolivia (we do not know if it is before or after nuclear exchange, so makes sense to be on the safe side). The conquest of the USA by the beast in that war "with the force of United States, with the force of the devil." Mount Shasta. Earth axis changes, ice melting, gigantic flooding. Meteorite fall into Mediterranean. Rapture when antichrist approaches Mecca. The restoration of the Temple and the Ark of the Covenant. Once again, this stuff is not parables, it is clear and to the point. 6. A short intro to the parables: note the identifiable animals, at least Pig/Hog--Russia, really the only consistently occurring one. Then the American Eagle, Japan Hornet, Saber Tooth Tiger apparently DPRK. The others really seem incidental, a link to your site will suffice. Well, those are the animal parables. There are also some crucial parables about political developments, e.g. the Hand that Cut the Ribbon that is mightier than the blood of the people, that may be the American government that will sell out to antichrist, perhaps c.f. Daniel 11 those who eat of the meat of the king of the South betraying him after attempted peace treaty with the king of the north / antichrist. And the Owl, which also should be something easy to spot eventually. But this is really not of the essence to appreciate the full message of the Prophecies. I believe it is downright false for us to say that because there are a few parables, we cannot produce a good and fairly complete summary. 7. Exhortations: to Christians, to Pastors, to the people of USA, Israel, Russia, Peru/Bolivia. What God wants us to do. 8. Our own exhortation: to save the booklet, to go read the Prophecy book on the web based on this presentation. Logistical information about getting the n'th prophecy by typing in the right address into the browser. A call to spread the message. Well, we can see here why an entire booklet is needed. You just don't fit all this bare minimum sufficient to cover the Prophecy book to any meaningful detail into a single poster with readable font. Ok, so that's a basic outline of how I see it. Now, a few words about the Mini prophecy book. Up front, please forgive me if I sound a bit harsh here. I just feel that there are things about this text that are inconsistent with some of the goals we should be trying to accomplish. So, the Mini book opens with 2 (!) long introductions. The first one simply expresses admiration for Ray. As if the reader did not figure that Ray's supporters would find him admirable enough to spread the message. The second one centers around quoting a dictionary. This actually seems like a frequent theme in personal apologetics on the web, quoting dictionaries. Well, maybe some people enjoy the rhetorical device, but how interesting is it to read another such a text? Then the Mini book goes on to a very long testimony by Ray. To get through the testimony, I think you really need to be a believing Christian who is ready to accept such things. Other people will start having all sorts of thoughts here, if they even keep reading at all. Finally it does the right thing of listing the factual predictions. Well, the Mini book is certainly shorter than the whole book, but to people in a hurry, to non-Christians it is still, imho, a sealed scroll, a stumbling block, a rock of offense. Plus, it is still pretty big. You say you handed out 30 of them. Well, it can certainly be printed in larger quanitites and left in the libraries, let's say. Maybe at bus stops. But it is still too big to fit into mailboxes or under people's doors. It cannot be distributed by email or by letter. And people cannot stuff it into their pockets "just in case", they have a natural urge to get rid of it, unless the Holy Spirit really clicked it in their minds on the spot. Now, it clearly has its uses, but perhaps we should try something else as well. So yes, I think we need to produce a short (2-4 pages) and complete description, a guide to the Prophecies. Once that is done, it can be distributed by various means, by sending emails to pastors, by distributing it house to house, by leaving it at libraries and bus stops. I would guess that house to house distribution is ideal, because there is no psychological difficulty inherent in deciding to take and carry something new with you. You can just pick it up and, if the Holy Spirit guides you, to check it out immediately on the web or to file it somewhere for later examination. There is less leeway for the birds to come and eat the seed. It is also easy to print, carry, and distribute. Well, I am not certain about the precise mechanics of making a booklet, except for ones with usual staples. But even if it will require some technology, maybe you would find a way to produce them in quantity and then mail them in packs to people interested in distributing them at cost. After all, you sound pretty knowedgeable in the publishing business. Finally, Rev. Barr, a personal request. My posts are pretty long, just because there is a lot to say, I hope I do not come off looking wordy and empty. But thing is, you like to respond to people's posts by inset comments with full quotation. I believe that this is generally a discouraged practice at forums because it makes reading the thread difficult. It also may lead to "nit-picking" argument, or at least to a false appearance as if that ugly thing is happening. I thought, perhaps you could respond succinctly without full quotation. The Lord be with all of you. Please tell me what you think and please join me in writing it, as the Spirit may move you. |

Hello,
http://www.Timebomb2000.com is a website gets millions of hits. The webmaster there is offering advertising space (banner) for $40/month US. I have forwarded Rays Website and it meets the requirements. What do you think? If we could get 5 or more people to donate to the cost to rent the space i believe it would reach a lot of people. Your thoughts? Oliver |

Oh my dear Watcher,
Praise the Holy Lord God. You have just elected yourself to make up the booklet that you envision. You have just volentered to do it. There is NO ONE ELSE!! And when you have made them up, I am convinced that they will be a great tool to publicize the Prophecies and Raymond's site. You make it up then you make it available to all the rest of us. and we will pass it out. The one who says "here is my idea, now someone else go and do it" will never ever see it done in their lifetime. The one who wants to start a Volunteer anything has to first realize the truth that it may be Volunteer for everyone else but it is NOT Volunteer for them, it is Manditory for them. For when they stop, so does everyone else. Now perhaps you do not see the relationship between the above paragraph and you laying out your ideas for the short booklet that you envision. But it is a strong relationship. If you want it done just the way that you would like to see it done, then YOU will have to be the one to do it. I can, and do, see where you might excite someone to make up and pass out some sort of flyers or booklets, And that would be great, and I believe that was your original vision to publisize the Prophecies of Raymond. But if they do so, it will be the way that they envision it, and NOT your way. Your first letter was good for you were urging the people to spread the word. And I agree with that letter as far as I stated, But I am against re-inverting the wheel when it is not nessecary, especially when so many cannot build the wheel in any way shape or form. And if they have to re-invent the wheel, it will never be done. But if you give them a wheel already made up, they can roll it down the street. And your vision can come to pass. So give us that wheel that we can take out and use. But your second letter just undid all that you were attempting to do with the first letter. For now you are telling all these good people that you expect it to be done in only the way that you see it being done, and that if they do it any other way then it will no good. And again there is not one out of 100,000 people who has the skill to put together a booklet as you envision. But if it can work at all, it has to be the way that they choose to do it. I learned from years of working with volunteers, that they will only work for you in your way IF, I say, IF you can convince them that it is to their advantage to do so. But you are not doing that, you are only laying a heavy burden on them, insisting that it can only be done your way. I will have to point out that the "Mini Prophecy" book was made up as the Holy Lord God wished, and commanded it to be done, in both content and form. And I have to point out that the other book (which I pointed to) to spread the word about the Prophecies, "Blow the Trumpet in Zion"was also written exactly as the Holy Lord God dirrected Jeanny Beech, down to exactly what the Holy Lord wanted put in it, For I worked with Jeanne and the Holy Lord God on converting it to the web site, and as I changed the form of that book from the printed page to the web page, the Holy Lord would not allow me, or her, to make any changes. For it had to be published exactly as close as possible as to the printed book. Now I repeat that it was as The Holy Lord Wanted, and Directed, His Servant to do it. (that book may be downloaded from my site, printed and given out. ) Even if you do not approve of how it was done, it was done as the Lord dirrected it to be done. So please do not start finding fault with the way the Holy Lord had His books done. Neither of these books may have been made up the way that you would like it, but both of them were made up as the Holy Lord God commanded them to be made up. And they are NOT to be changed in either word or form. For they are effective just as they are. And if they are changed, it would destroy their efectivness as a tool of the Most High Lord God. For man can never improve on what God has done. But being as that may be, it does not keep you, or anyone else from making up their own versions, of booklets, pamplets, or flyers, or posters, as they envision them to be. For when they start, the Lord God will work with them on the best form for them to work with, in order to reach the very people which the Lord wants them to reach. _________________________ As for the way that I have responded to your first letter. If you were to take every part of my answer out and put it only by itself, neither you, nor anyone else would be able to make any sence out of it, for you would not know what those words were referencing to. The only other way would have been to reprint parts of your letter to show what I was responding to, the effect of this way may have saved a couple of words here and there but would not have shortened it by enough to make a difference. But as you see here, I am neither adding comments within your letter, nor am I adding parts of your letter to this one for everyone to know what I am responding to. Perhaps you will like this letter better than the my first responce to you. I will try to be nice, to be as pleasent as I can be when I respond to your postings, for I do support you in your basic premmise, However when you hit me over the head with a hammer I am going to say Ouch just as I know that you will when you read this letter. And when I believe that you are wrong, I will tell you that you are wrong, And when I believe that you are right, I will tell you that you are right. And I tell you here that you are right in your attempt to have more people publicize the Prophecies. And I tell you that You are right in starting this discussion. And I tell you here that you are wrong in demanding that it should only be done the way that You want it done, or the way that you think we should do it. And I tell you here that you are wrong when you put down the method used, and the forms of the Books, flyers, and ad's that have been used in the past, for those were Holy Spirit led publications. |

ok, sorry about giving the wrong impression. Of course I have been planning to do much of the writing myself initially all along. But perhaps other people will be moved to respond or to edit eventually.
I also by no means am trying to say that "my way is the only way." I am trying to advance my way as another one of possible use. There are no doubt other ways, and this thread does not at all have to be limited to the discussion of my ideas. Well, enough chat room chit-chat. Now on to some more productive work |

ok, here is my first draft. nothing very original of course
*********************************************************** The Things to Come IN SOME DETAIL http://www.prophecy.org Hello and thank you for taking your time to read this. This booklet is a short guide to the message of a man called Ray Aguilera, of Northern California, who claims to have received since 1989 to the present many detailed prophecies about the things soon to come from the Lord God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Key prophecies, including nuclear blasts at San Francisco and Paris, a new war in Korea, and a catastrophic earthquake that will destroy California, are listed later on in the booklet. All of Ray's messages are freely available on the web in English and Spanish at http://www.prophecy.org . For example, prophecy #63 is at prophecy.org/063pro.htm and #592 at prophecy.org/592pro.htm, just type in the number into the right part of the web address. Ray's testimony covers some 1700 messages, and the Lord surely intended all of us to read through them diligently. We have prepared this short guide to give everybody a chance to quickly grasp the scope of Ray's message, so that you may study the Prophecies in an informed fashion, as the Spirit may move you. Please take a minute to read through this, and surely you will find it interesting and worth your time. Table of contents 1. Specific prophecies for the near future 2. Specific prophecies fulfilled over the last decade 3. Long term prophecies, of the events after the coming nuclear war 4. A word about the prophetic Parables 5. The Lord's exhortations and commands to Christians, Pastors, and everybody 6. Closing words 1. Specific prophecies for the near future: The Lord God told Ray about several major, easily recognizable events that will happen in the near future. These messages came over the last decade, in times of peace, but today, looking around us, it is not hard to see the gathering storm of their approaching fulfillment. a. massive flooding leading to religious war and persecution of Christians in Congo. see #1691 b. North Korean devastating invasion of the South and its defeat. see #546 and #55 c. destruction of San Francisco by a nuclear bomb brought in on a sailboat. see #85, #185, #346 d. destruction of Paris by a nuclear blast by the beast-antichrist. see #63 e. cataclysmic earthquake that will annihilate the state of California. see #158, #424, #711 f. revolution in Russia and the rise of a new evil regime, referred to as Pig or Hog in the Prophecies, that starts nuclear war. see #592, #53, #74, #73 g. global financial and economic collapse. see #74, #512, #207, #1120 h. the rise of a powerful political and religious Islamic leader in the Middle East, the False Prophet. see #70, #287, #74 i. the rise of an evil government "Hornet" in Japan that will ally itself with the False Prophet. see #75 2. Specific prophecies that are apparently fulfilled already: a. invasion and war in an African nation in August (actually Congo, August 1998). see #540 b. the rise and fall of the Al Qaeda and Bin Laden (Fox). see #64, #206, #1034 c. the hunt for the terrorists in the caves of Afghanistan. see #1650 d. the Elephant of the Republican Party starting a global war by gobbling up straw, the things old and dried up. see #311, #322 3. Prophecies for the longer term: Many prophecies pertain to an unspecified longer term, after the coming nuclear war, though all are to come in the lifetime of the people who read them in the early 1990s. These might be fulfilled in a decade or so. a. nuclear war with Russia. see #73, #254 b. the rise of antichrist with the assistance of the False Prophet, his use of Islam, e.g. see #64, #69, #74, #287, #90, #103, #269, #305, #669, and many others throughout the Prophecy book. c. world war between the United States and a coalition of the antichrist, see #262, #876, #900 d. fall of a meteorite into the Mediterranean. see #1692 e. changes of climate, droughts, catastrophic rises in sea level. see #31, #220, #210, #523, #901 f. explosion of Mount Shasta in California, devastating Western United States. see #790, #777 g. rearmament of Canada in response to state collapse in the United States. see #547 h. devastation of Bolivia and Peru by war and persecution of Christians there. see #201, #305 i. restoration of the Temple of Jerusalem and the Ark of the Covenant. see #1107 j. Rapture of the faithful Christians in the Lord's Ark when antichrist approaches Mecca. see #50, #44, and many others throughout the Prophecy book. 4. A word about the prophetic Parables: Some of Prophecies are worded in parables that we will be able to recognize only once they happen. Some recurring individuals or organizations are described by animal names, e.g. beast, pig, Saber Tooth Tiger, eagle, fox, owl. The meaning of some of the animals is quite clear, hence beast = antichrist, pig/hog = future fascist/Communist government in Russia, Saber Tooth Tiger = North Korea. Other animals occur rarely, and their identity is less certain. For more discussion of the animal parables please see http://www.barr-family.com/godsword/prindex.htm website. 5. The Lord's exhortations and commands to Christians, Pastors, and everybody: The primary goal of the Prophecies is to convey the Lord's exhortations and commands to the Christians and to the people of the world for the coming days. These exhortations take up most of the space in the Prophecy Book, whereas the prophecies summarized above are quite brief, serving primarily to give incontrovertible proof of the divine origin of the prophetic message to those who will see their fulfillment. Briefly, the Lord calls on us to turn wholeheartedly to the Faith of Christ; to pray and eat Communion every day; to spread the Word of God; to reach out to the poor, the ill and the homeless; to heal the arguments and conflicts between Christian churches; and to prepare for the enddays. Please read the Prophecy Book for the details and pray to God for guidance in these matters. 6. Closing words: We have compiled and distributed this guide in obedience to the Lord's call to publish His Word, His Prophecy to all who would hear. Please take some time to read and study Ray's message, whether using this guide or without it. Please pray to the Lord for guidance, understanding, and discernment. For now, before you do anything else, just do not throw this paper, this message away. Perhaps you will find it interesting and useful later on. If the Holy Spirit leads you to accept the Prophecy Book as the Word of God, please think of helping us out by getting the word out by all means that the Lord will lead you to. Our mailing list, dedicated to the discussion and publishing of the Prophecies, is http://www.prophecylink.com , where Ray also publishes the latest prophecies as he receives them. The Lord be with you! Thank you for reading this message. *********************************************************** well for one thing, I invite comments on the contents. Anything I should add or amend here? For another, there is the technical side of distribution to consider. I think right now it will all fit on both sides of a single page, if printed with font size 9. Which is a small font, maybe too small. Plus, maybe we want to have bigger font for the title. Unfortunately, I myself have access to public printers, where I do not think I get double sided printing, though I will try. On the other hand, maybe it would make sense to make one of those small booklets? Anybody had any experience with these? Please tell me what you think. |

Hello Watcher,
You should pray about this, but maybe you should call this booket: Prophecy.org or something that leads people to the website because this booket means nothing unless people have all the prophecy books or they are logged onto the Prophecy.org website. People or Pastors getting this info will think, what is this? and where is the data? Only my thoughts, but my thoughts mean nothing. Pray to the Lord. yours in Christ, ray |

to everybody reading this, or who may want to comment:
my current first draft is now towards the end of this thread, enclosed with long ***************************** lines above and below. Or just search for "first draft" on this page. I am editing it as suggestions come in. E.g. I changed the title now in response to Ray's comment. If you want to make bigger changes, maybe just paste it into your post and make your own version. People, please, speak up. About the content, about ways to print and distribute it, about anything. The Lord be with you. watcher |

Time is 3:11 , June 19, 2005.
I have had much trouble in writing this post. For the LORD God has been dealing with me in this area, about publishing and spreading the Gospel or the prophecies. The verse about "You hypocrite, first take out the plank in your own eye and then you can see clearly to remove the sawdust from your brother's eye" rings true in my ears. For I am in no position to write you about this, but the LORD has convicted me to at least tell you the answer, for I know the answer, but then I have much trouble in carrying it out. watcher, the best way is to open-air preach Jesus. You see, you have the same mindset about sending out the Gospel that I did three and a half years ago. I have spent money on flowers that I passed out one to each house as well as giving them the Message of Christ. I used the flowers as a deterent beause I could not look at their eyes straight ahead and spaek the Truth to them. I have prayed for people silently as they have passed by, I have paid for newspaper advertising for the prophecy web site, I have handed out and hidden Chick Tracks all over the campus I was in, with the hopes that they (MIGHT):// read it and obey the Word in there (very few of the tracks have the Word in them). I also preached open-AIR on the Mall (a great walkway). But of all these things, the BEST and MOST EFFECTIVE way to spread the Gospel, is to open-air preach and to speak one-on-one. You see, I am in advertising, and the Truth is the best way to spread a message is by word-of-mouth. Magazines, print ads, newspapers, radio and the like are dandy, and they are what keep most of the advertising world running, but they are (from experience) not very effective. It takes 5.6 times for a person to remember and recite the same message, and only 2% of the desired population will see the message in print. The rest is called wasted spending. Jesus was the ultimate advertiser. he made the Message personal, easy to remember, and above all He lived His Message. (Actions speak louder than words, but words give one a kick in the pants.) Take a look at how Jesus advertised Himself: [i]John 4:6 KJV Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with [his] journey, sat thus on the well: [and] it was about the sixth hour. 7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. 8 (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.) 9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. 10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. 11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? 12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? 13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: 14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. 15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw. 16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither. 17 The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband: 18 For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly. 19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet. 20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. 21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth. 25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. 26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am [he]. 27 And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her? 28 The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, 29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ? 30 Then they went out of the city, and came unto him. [/i] Jesus never put up billboards, never passed out flyers, never created posters for people to read. The MainStream Church does that alot. Instead, he healed the sick, he spoke words of encouragement, he justified the righteous and rebuked those who errored. He spoke often, sometimes with only one person, and other times with a multitude. But that was the most effective way to spread the Gospel. He commanded us to go out into the World and preach (speak with our mouths and with our hands or actions). And so this was how it was done, people who loved Christ obeyed Him and went forth to every ends of the earth to preach and teach, to uphold and rebuke wrong. And that, my friend, is the most effective way to advertise the Gospel, which I struggle with. ,And what happened after He (Jesus Christ) spoke to that one woman? John 4:39 KJV And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did. 40 So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days. 41 And many more believed because of his own word; 42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard [him] ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world. By all means, go forth with your project of making this booklet! Raymond has advertised, I have advertised, and many others have also. And when you have finished with making and passing out this booklet about prophecy.org, simply remember the most effective way to advertise. Advertise often! and God Bless! BlueRiverTributaries |
