Killing The Messenger

Having seen many forums which attack anything to do with what they do not believe in themselves, I felt that I should write the following. A prophecy forum which I subscribe to would most defintently not allow the posting of this message, as every one of them who normally respond, and argue with each other over the end time prophecies in the Bible, would feel the Conviction, as any posting which attempts to show the truth of what the Bible prophecies are saying is severely attacked by all of them. Yet there are hundreds of people who only lurk there, reading, but not taking part in the cat fights.

The following article has to do with All Prophecies which are given by God's Prophets, be they in times past, in the present, or will give in the future. A Prophet is a Messenger. They come in two kinds. The True Prophet from God, and the False Prophets. I speak below of the True Prophets of God, and what the Word of God has to say about them. From the Beginning people have always tried to Kill the Messenger, The True Prophet of God, because they did not like the message which God sent to them.

God's Prophets, His Messengers through which the Lord God Speaks to the People, and Leaders of the People, today, are still being attacked with every attempt to kill the message, to discredit it messenger. The Leaders in the Church are First in line to reject, and attack, the word of God from the Prophets of God, just as the Pharisees did with Jesus.


Killing The Messenger

And the Lord sent his Word to the people, and the Leaders of the people, through messengers who were called Prophets in the Old Testament, and in the New Testament.

Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the[u] prophets [/u]. Jeremiah 1:7 "But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt[u] speak. [/u]" 1 Corinthians 12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets , thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

And the messengers said, "you are not following the Lord God Almighty, this is what you must do to turn from your ways and to return to the Lord God."

Isaiah 45:19 "I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, [u] I declare things that are right. [/u]" Jeremiah 44:4 Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the[u] prophets, [/u] rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, [u] do not this abominable thing that I hate. [/u]

And the people and Leaders said "I do not like what you are saying, tell us only what we want to hear."

Isaiah 30:10 "Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things[u], speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:", [/u] 2 Chronicles 36:16 "But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy.", 1Ki. 22:13, 2 Chron 18:12

Then they killed the messengers

1 Thessalonians 2:15 Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own[u] prophets, [/u] and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men: Romans 11:3 Lord, they have killed thy [u]prophets [/u], and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life. Acts 7:52 Which of the[u] prophets [/u] have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:

Then God came down to the earth Himself as Jesus Christ.

John 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

And Jesus said to the people and the leaders of the people " you are not following the Lord God Almighty, this is what you must do to turn from your ways and to return to the Lord God." And the people and Leaders said "I do not like what you are saying, tell us only what we want to hear."

Then they killed the messenger.

And the messenger rose up on the 3rd day from death and went back into heaven.

Acts 10:41 Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he [u]rose from the dead. [/u] 1 Corinthians 15:12 Now if Christ be preached that he[u] rose from the dead, [/u] how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?

And since that time, the Lord God has sent his word down to the people and Leaders, in many different ways, and by many different messengers. And the messengers say to the people and leaders, "you are following the wrong path, you are being led down the path to destruction by this man, this doctrine, these things, this church, and you must turn aside, rejecting these false teachings and beliefs to follow Me."

Jeremiah 44:4 Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the [u]prophets, [/u] rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, [u] do not this abominable thing that I hate. [/u]

And the people and Leaders said "I do not like what you are saying, tell us only what we want to hear."

Then they work hard to kill the messenger. Attacking them every way they can. They attempt to discredit them, to quote twisted doctrines and scriptures as a smoke screen to hide the truth.

None of them like the message, for the true message from God brings Conviction, and Conviction Hurts.

Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and [color=red] sharper than any twoedged sword, [/color] piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

The people and leaders are like Cain who insisted on worshiping God his own way, and they will always be hurt by God's True Word, and they will always try to Kill the Messenger, just as the people and leaders have down through the ages..

The Lord God speaks through the Messenger today, telling the people and leaders "This is NOT of God", but the people and leaders love what is not of God, so they shout down, and try to kill the messenger. They say "How dare you say that!", "That can not be right because ---" and they give any reason.

Jeremiah 35:15 I have sent also unto you all my servants the [u]prophets [/u], rising up early and sending them, saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me. Jeremiah 44:4 Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the[u] prophets [/u], rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate .

The Messenger today is the Voice crying in the Wilderness.

Go ahead and Kill the Messenger, God makes note of who will listen to His Messengers, and who will not. Do you really believe that just because you go to Church that you will not be turned over to a Reprobate Mind to believe a Lie??

Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a [u]reprobate mind, [/u] to do those things which are not convenient;

So very many of you believe that God does not speak to anyone today, because you can not hear Him speak to you. So many of you today believe that anything said which will challenge your cherished Beliefs can not possibly be from God.

Do you really believe that there are no Prophets who speak God's Word today?? If you do, then you are calling the Bible a lie. For the Lord God has placed Prophets in the Church today.

1 Corinthians 12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets , thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

The Lord God has said to do My Prophets No Harm.

Psalms 105:15 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

And the Lord God has said to Despise not Prophecies.

[u]1 Thessalonians 5:20 Despise not prophesyings [/color] .

Before you reject any message, you had better search the Word of God, and to Go Before the Lord God asking for Him to show you the truth. Is this of You God, or is it Not of You God! For only God can give you the absolute truth.

Before you reject any message today, you had better be absolutely sure that it is a false message from a false Prophet. Yes, there are many false Prophets out there, but God also has His Prophets out there also. See that You do NOT Kill one of God's Prophet when they speak to you.

And if you feel hurt, or upset by this message, which is not aimed at any one person, then you are probably feeling that prick of Conviction, for the above is only what the Bible says.
