The Lord said that a flood would never happen again on a worldwide scale, one of Gods promises to man (noah specifically) after the first flood.
let me know what you think about this prophecy, and its interpretation, and ray i'd love to get your input. Of course I'm not didscounting you as a prophet but its hard to keep faith when something appears to flat out go against a promise of God. let me know ~ eric
Hi Brother Eric,
The part of the prophecy you quote above has nothing to do with another "World Wide Flood" which the Lord said that he would never do again.
It has to do with the tilting of the Earth.
When the Lord put a World Wide Flood upon the earth, the waters, all over the earth, at the same time, rose up, or became so deep that it covered the mountains. That meant that there was not even one piece of ground that was above the water, even like an Island would be, any place on the earth. So all life died, except for the life that was on the Ark.
What this prophecy speaks of is NOT this kind of Flood. It only speaks of waves that are thousands of feet high washing up onto the land. But even so, there will be places upon the earth which will not go under water, and so there will be people and animals who will survive.
You now read in the papers about the big earthquake and the massive tidal wave which resulted. You read that it caused the earth to tilt by a very slight fraction and everyone points to the Bible verses which say the earth will tilt, and proudly proclaim that that verse has now been fulfilled. THEY ARE WRONG!! For when the earth does TILT as the bible foretells, and this prophecy tells of one of the results of that earth Tilt.
To see how this happens, I'll tell you how to understand how this will happen. Take a large flat type of bowl, fill it with water to the brim, then while holding it our before you at arms length, now suddenly turning yourself with your arms outstretched, turn very suddenly 90 degrees to either side. When you see what happens to the water that was in the pan, you will understand what the above prophecy is warning you of. You will have seen that while you and the pan suddenly turned to a different direction, the water tried to stay where it was. And that is what will make those waves go thousands of feet high, as the oceans try to stay where they were and the land which is moving tries to slide underneath the water of the oceans.
From this experiment you will see that while some parts of the earth will be flooded by these giant waves, there will be equal parts where the water will run away from the land, leaving parts of the land dry. Note that after doing the experiment that your pan is now almost empty.
Now you can see that there is nothing in this prophecy which goes against God's Promise to never completely flood the earth again, killing all life on the land.
Where ever possible, take the Bible literally.
