Praise the Lord, Ray.

I read Occurrence 1094 and feel led of the Lord to share about the scriptures given in the hopes that we may study, discuss, and fellowship with one another as the Lord has said.

1 Corinthians 13:11
"When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me."

The two verses preceding this one says: "For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears."

This is what Paula and the Holy Spirit are speaking of the perfect replacing the imperfect, the complete replacing the incomplete.

It looks foreword to when our salvation is made complete in our experience, our corruption being swallowed up and changed in glory and the incorruptible, and our spirit, soul, and body being made perfect in Jesus Christ. This process is even now taking place in those of us who belong to the Lord. Christ in us, the hope of glory.

When I read this verse, I do not only think of our future hope, but of the present.

I Corinthians 6:9-11
"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God."

This also speaks of an old way, a lesser way, and a new way, a better way. The old way is the way of the flesh which leads to death, which is bound by the law of sin and death. It is the law that says: The flesh is given to sin. It will sin. It does not have an option in itself not to sin. The flesh is bound to sin, and it will sin, and this will result in death. This is why these men were once sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, homosexual offenders, thieves, greedy, drunkards, slanderer, and swindlers. They were what the flesh made them. They were the end product of a slavery to sin, whose one end is death, and we were no different. I was no different. I was not a male prostitute, or a drunkard, or other specific things mentioned in this scripture but I was given to sin, and there is no difference. I might have well been a male prostitute or a homosexual offender or a child molester. Given to sin is given to sin. I am no better just because my sin was of a different flavor.

This is the great trap of mankind, the trap we were born into, set by the devil, and passed to us by Adam. That we are born as slaves to sin, and aimed toward death. It is the bad news of mankind.

In the past there were men to realized this bad news. They didn't turn from the truth of it, even though it was unpleasant. They knew they were in trouble, and they were upset. Jesus called them the poor in spirit. They were the ones who were in mourning for the state of their own hearts. They were meek, knowing they were slaves to sin. They hungered and thirsted for righteousness, for an escape from their slavery, even though they did not know if such a thing was possible.

For these the Father sent Jesus Christ. He was sent to be the gospel of the Father, the good news, the answer to the bad news of sin and death. The poor in spirit are blessed because they will easily accept the riches of the kingdom of heaven. They don't have to be convinced. They are not like those spoken of in Revelation, who say, "'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing." The poor in spirit know that they are in dire need, and they mourned for it, and hungered and thirsted for righteousness. The tax collector spoken of in Luke 18 was such a man, who beat his breast on account of his state, knowing full well his need for mercy. He went home justified before God.

We are the same. What righteousness we enjoy is not of our own making, but the righteousness of Jesus Christ that has freed us from the law of sin and death, but enslaved us to righteousness and our Lord and Master. This is why I can boast in my Lord and King, who has freed me.

He has freed me from the law of sin and death. He has freed me from an otherwise inescapable end, and has given me true choice. I am free to choose Him, to continue with Him and in Him, or I am free to return to sin and death. My freedom extends only that far. I am free to choose slavery to Christ. There is no other alternatives. When I was a slave to sin, I had not even this choice. I did the things I knew I should not do, and could not do the things I knew that I should, but that slavery is at an end, and the Lord has the glory of it.

So this is what I think about when I think about the childish way, and the way of maturity. Those of us who have tasted of the goodness of the Lord, of His freedom to be free of sin and death, are under an obligation. It is not to continue in the lesser way, but to forsake it for the better way that Jesus Christ has gone to great lengths to extend to us.

Romans 8:12-14
"Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation—but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God."

Note-
I guess that's it for now. I didn't know I'd write so much on the first verse, because there are things to say on the others as well. Praise the Lord. I am grateful to speak about His goodness.

After reading those scriptures that the Lord had Ray to post I believe that are in the body of Christ needs to starting walking in LOVE. For Love endures forever and ever. God's whole kingdom is establish in love for without Love in Christ our gifts and works they are nothing. Jesus said that we love him should keep His commandments by this the world will know that we are His Disciples. They are times in where people come in here and speak on things that they are void of understanding on and causes stife and contention amongst us that in the body of Christ. In light of what the scriptures teach we need walk like proverbs 3:5-7, We need to Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. v6. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and He shall direct thy paths. v7. Be not wise in thine own eyes; fear the Lord, and depart from evil. For Rom. 12:16-19 says that we are to, Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. Recompense to no man evil for evil . Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, vengeance is mine:; I will repay, saith the Lord. I believe if we practice on working in love we dont have to worry a thing for Christ got our back for He will never us nor forsake us.

Hi Ray,

I feel I am supposed to respond to what this prophecy is asking. I
still don't particularly want to because of the reaction people will
have to what I have to say, but after arguing with God and then
discussing it with Him, I do believe He wants me to say something, and
of course I will do what He wants me to do.

I apologize for not putting this on Prophecylink, but I don't have
access to it (not a computer problem).

This is a prayer to the Holy Spirit for guidance. Before any reading
or discussion of the Bible, one should pray for guidance.

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of thy faithful, and enkindle in
them the fire of thy love. Send forth thy Spirit, and they shall be
created, and you shall renew the face of the earth. Oh God, who by the
light of the Holy Spirit didst instruct the hearts of the faithful,
grant that in the same Spirit, we may be truly wise and ever rejoice in
His consolations, through the same Christ out Lord, Amen.

What are the themes of the passages? Thinking like a man, and the
submissive of women. It's also about a person getting their lives,
priorities, and reasonings clear. Things have an natural order to them,
and the roles of men and women are not flexible to the point where each
man and each woman can overtake each others job. This is why women are
not allowed to preach, and men shouldn't do the main childrearing and
menial jobs. This is not inequality to anyone, it's going with the
natural order God set up. It also goes with the passage of thinking
like a man - with children, pretty much everything is interchangable,
you can let both genders do the same things and they are equally
capable, because they are children doing children's things. And think
about it, this is the nucleus of what holds a family together - a
father's guidance and skills, a mother's being there and handling the
little details, and the child listening to both WHO ARE UNIFIED by the
woman going along with
what her husband says. Anyone with children or who watched shows from
the 50s knows this is the ideal experience. And this is the family
experience which is displayed in the Holy Family - Jesus, Mary, and
Joseph.

Now, I'm going to get into the nuts and bolts of the passages. I will
say first that there are four levels to reading any Bible passage - a
literal level, a rabbinic (instructional) level, a moral
(ethical/social) level, and a spiritual level.

1 Cor 13:11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like
a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish
ways behind me.

The literal level of this obvious, but on a rabbinical and moral
level, it denotes the taking of responsibilities, of acting in ways
fitting of a man (adult), not acting like a child. Not blaming others,
not giving excuses, not thinking you have the answer to everything, and
taking control of your life and how you live it and acknowledging
duties and responsibilities towards God. The spiritual level is this:
Who is "the man"? Is that not Jesus? Or rather, was it not Adam, whose
shortcoming and sins were fulfilled and rectified in "the New Adam"?
Also, what does Jesus say? That those who do not become like little
children cannot enter the Kingdom of God. Also, the recent
prophecy "Seek me as a child". What is this saying? Think of this. You
cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven if you are not born again of water
and the Spirit. So, when you are baptized, you are born again of water
and the Spirit. Then, you must become like a little child in your new
life as a Christian, where you should believe everything you are told,
just as little children do. Then, when you are grown up enough in the
spirit, and you are a "man" - i.e. you are Christlike in virtually all
things, you can begin to see through why things are the way they are,
and know Christ
in a "man-to-man" (or a more personal way, for the women) sort of way.

1 Cor 14:33 For God is not a God of disorder but of peace. As in all
the congregations of the saints,
1 Cor 14:34 women should remain silent in the churches. They are not
allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says.
1 Cor 14:35 If they want to inquire about something, they should ask
their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak
in the church.
1 Cor 14:36 Did the word of God originate with you? Or are you the
only people it has reached?
1 Cor 14:37 If anybody thinks he is a prophet or spiritually gifted,
let him acknowledge that what I am writing to you is the Lord's command.
1 Cor 14:38 If he ignores this, he himself will be ignored.
1 Cor 14:39 Therefore, my brothers, be eager to prophesy, and do not
forbid speaking in tongues.
1 Cor 14:40 But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way.

On the literal and rabbinic level, this is a request for order in the
assemblies, for the same reason it's requested elsewhere - in order
that the order instituted by God may be shown, and that the churches
don't turn into three-ring-circuses. A church is a place of prayer and
for being with God, not for seeing a disgraceful display of self-love
and "I know more than you do" antics and utter chaos. I know all of us
have heard about churches where it's utter chaos on a regular basis,
because everyone is "hearing from the Spirit", and of course, the other
people are really not. I remember listening to a speaker who was a
former Pentecostal, and he said he remembers he was in a church once
where people actually said to him "Come to our church, you never know
what's going to happen". And they were right. No order, and no one to
enforce order, because who can contradict "the Holy Spirit"? In regards
to women speaking in church, I have always had a little confusion about
this line, and that is part of the reason I objected to writing this,
because wouldn't I be preaching to "a church"? God told me what that
means is that women are not to be saying new things in regards to
doctrine and leading the people in a pastoral manner, because in the
Jewish and apostolic priesthood there are no women priests (cf. Sirach -
from the lips of the priest come instruction), and that's the way He
established it, because of the roles of the man and the woman. A woman
can echo what has already been established as solid doctrine, and if
she is
confused about what it means, she should ask a priest or her husband,
in order to keep family unity and solid doctrine in mind. This is the
moral level - that order should reign in all aspects, because we are a
united body of Christ, and that can't show through when everyone is
doing their own thing. Although the Holy Spirit does what He wills, He
established a Church on earth which is regulated, and that's where He
wants to work.

The spiritual level has several things to comment on, so I will start
at the beginning. Why is the woman submissive? Because she is two
different people - the mother (cf Gen 3:15) and the bride of the Christ
(cf Song - my sister, my bride is a repeated theme)(cf Matt. "Whoever
does the will of God is my brother, my sister, and my mother). Neither
one is the head of anything, and neither one has authority to say
anything that has not already been said. So they should allow the
brothers, who are the people designated by God to speak (cf. Pauls
letters, the apostles are repeatedly refered to and refer to themselves
as Jesus's brothers) to do the speaking. The question "Did the Word of
God originate with you?" is an interesting question, as it speaks to
the divine aspect of Christ. The word of God originated with God, so
this is way of asking "How do you know about God?" Remember, in
Genesis, the woman's role is secondary and contingent upon Adam. Adam
was the one who disseminated information, there was no lasting effect
of sin until Adam ate the apple, and not most unimportantly, Adam was
the origin of the woman. So, considering the spiritual meaning behind
this, remember that a man and his bride are joined by God, and they
cannot be seperated. Christ and his Bride are joined, and they cannot
be seperated. From Christ the bride came forth, not the other way
around. So He, speaking through his "brothers", is the way He
established to work, not through the bride.

1 Cor 11:1 Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.
1 Cor 11:2 I praise you for remembering me in everything and for
holding to the teachings, just as I passed them on to you.
1 Cor 11:3 Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is
Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.
1 Cor 11:4 Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered
dishonors his head.
1 Cor 11:5 And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head
uncovered dishonors her head--it is just as though her head were shaved.
1 Cor 11:6 If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her
hair cut off; and if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut
or shaved off, she should cover her head.
1 Cor 11:7 A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image
and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man.
1 Cor 11:8 For man did not come from woman, but woman from man;
1 Cor 11:9 neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.
1 Cor 11:10 For this reason, and because of the angels, the woman
ought to have a sign of authority on her head.
1 Cor 11:11 In the Lord, however, woman is not independent of man, nor
is man independent of woman.
1 Cor 11:12 For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman.
But everything comes from God.
1 Cor 11:13 Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to
God with her head uncovered?
1 Cor 11:14 Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man
has long hair, it is a disgrace to him,
1 Cor 11:15 but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For
long hair is given to her as a covering.
1 Cor 11:16 If anyone wants to be contentious about this, we have no
other practice--nor do the churches of God.

I think the literal level and instructional level is fairly obvious.
The moral level is just a restatement of the themes already stated,
with one exception. "Holding to the teachings as they have been passed
on to you". He passed on an oral tradition which still exists to this
day. Since the Bible is written as a timeless message for the faithful,
these teachings must still exist today through His teachers,
his "brothers". And they have will have remained unchanged, because
they are passed on as they have been taught.

The spiritual level, that's a different story. This is ripe with
spiritual references. First of all, the head of EVERY man is Christ,
but the head of THE woman is man. Remember, man refers to Jesus, but is
also refers to the representatives of Jesus whom he acts through. But
there is only one woman, the bride. And the model of the bride - The
Virgin Mary. So, whatever is applicable to the Bride as a whole is
found singularly in the person of the Virgin Mary. One place within
this which should be really pondered upon with this in mind is this -
"In the Lord, however, woman is not independent of man, nor is man
independent of woman. For as woman came from man, so also man is born
of woman. But everything comes from God."

One last thing - Why do we women cover our head because of the angels?
Because when we pray, especially in front of the Eucharistic feast, the
angels are there, because heaven is there. Consider this is light of
that :"but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory..." God's
glory is present in prayer and if we pray with our heads uncovered, our
glory is competing with God's glory. No competition. Cover your heads
when you pray, women. But for the men, since you are in the image of
Christ, you are reflecting His glory, so to cover your heads would be
to deflect God's glory when you pray.

This is what I am led to share concerning the second scripture.

The second section of scriptures in Occurrence 1904 is 1 Corinthians 14:33-40:
"For God is not a God of disorder but of peace.

As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.

Did the word of God originate with you? Or are you the only people it has reached? If anybody thinks he is a prophet or spiritually gifted, let him acknowledge that what I am writing to you is the Lord's command. If he ignores this, he himself will be ignored.

Therefore, my brothers, be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues. But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way."

The previous verses say the following:

"What then shall we say, brothers? When you come together, everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. All of these must be done for the strengthening of the church. If anyone speaks in a tongue, two—or at the most three—should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret. If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and God.

Two or three prophets should speak, and the others should weigh carefully what is said. And if a revelation comes to someone who is sitting down, the first speaker should stop. For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged. The spirits of prophets are subject to the control of prophets."

Not too long after my girlfriend Allyson was saved she brought these scriptures concerning women being silent in the church before the Lord, and He explained them to her. What she shared with me bore witness to my spirit by the Holy Spirit, so I will include this in what I share from the Lord.

Please consider this and bring it before the Lord by the Holy Spirit.

In the first century of the church, the churches were in submission to the Holy Spirit. It was the normal way of church, to assemble together and receive from the Lord through the Holy Spirit. In its proper way, it was all in submission to the Lord.

Paul was sent by the Lord to bring counsel and correction to the disciples in Corinth concerning the Lord's way in the assembly. This is what Paul and the Holy Spirit are speaking about to the Corinthians, and the verses the Holy Spirit has highlighted through Ray are a continuation of that.

The Lord speaks to His body through the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 12:7-12
"Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines.

The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ."

It was this way with the disciples in Corinth. When the disciples assembled, each had received a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation from the Lord for the edification, instruction, or admonition of the whole of those assembled. What the church was to receive from the Lord that day was made up of many parts, just as they themselves were many parts of Christ's one body, combined of what they had received and what they might receive from the Holy Spirit as they assembled.

Paul and the Holy Spirit were explaining how this one message of many parts was to be delivered, by the guidance and submission to the Holy Spirit, because it was one message belonging to the Lord to be given to the body.

"All of these must be done for the strengthening of the church.

For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged."

All of those assembled were to be led of the Holy Spirit, keeping quiet and speaking to themselves and to the Lord until moved of the Holy Spirit to speak to all. If one gave a tongue, but there was no interpretation coming forth, then they were to stop and return to praying. If one was speaking, but the Holy Spirit moved another to speak, the first was to stop because all were in submission to the Holy Spirit. In this way, it was not the disciples who were to speak, but always the Holy Spirit.

There was no need to rush to speak out of turn, or to speak over one another. Every part was needed, and none were more important than another, because all were part of one thing the Lord wanted to say. It was important that everyone hear all of it, and those given something to say were in control of their own spirits, and could wait until prompted by the Lord. This is what is meant by "the spirits of prophets are subject to the control of prophets." It is speaking each person of their own spirit, not control of the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit that reveals the truth of the Lord to our spirits, which we yield in submission to the Lord by the Holy Spirit.

This is what it means when the scripture says that women should stay silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission.

It is a physical picture of a spiritual truth.

Galatians 3:28
"There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus."

When the body of Christ assembles in spirit and truth, in real submission to the Holy Spirit and the Lord, to receive of the Lord, and to glorify the Lord, there is no male or female, for they are one in Christ Jesus. They are His bride, to receive of Him and bear his image to the world, just as a branch receives the life sap of the vine in order to bear fruit.

In Christ Jesus, we are all women in this way, and He is our head, and our husband.

"In all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches."

The word silent here does not mean mute. It is the same silent as the silent said of the one giving tongues where interpretation doesn't follow. That one was to pray quietly to himself and the Lord. It is the same for the assembly, to pray and focus on the Lord, while listening as the Holy Spirit speaks through the one given to speak in that moment.

In this way, no woman, no disciple, speaks from themselves, but only Jesus Christ, the Lord, the man, head of his wife, his body, speaks for the strengthening of all the saints.

This is the most excellent way, the fitting and orderly way.

The Lord is to be given the first place in the assembly. If there are those who do not understand what is being shared, then they are to be at peace, not interrupting, remaining in prayer, and ask their husband, Jesus Christ, to explain it to them later by the Holy Spirit.

This is how women should remain silent in the churches. We are the women. Christ is the man, and there is to be no place made for our flesh to speak, for that is a disgrace, but only place for the Holy Spirit as the Lord wills.

Amen.

This is what I am to share about the last set of scriptures.

The third set of scriptures given in Occurrence 1904 is 1 Corinthians 11:1-16 -
"Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.

I praise you for remembering me in everything and for holding to the teachings, just as I passed them on to you.
Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head. And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is just as though her head were shaved. If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her hair cut off; and if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut or shaved off, she should cover her head. A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man. For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; neither was man created for woman, but woman for man. For this reason, and because of the angels, the woman ought to have a sign of authority on her head.

In the Lord, however, woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God. If anyone wants to be contentious about this, we have no other practice—nor do the churches of God."

It is good that this is the third set of scriptures, because the first scripture and the second set of scriptures given by the Holy Spirit are helpful in understanding this.

In the first scripture the way of the flesh is to be forsaken for submission to the Lord through the Holy Spirit. It is the same for the second set of scriptures. This third set is the same as the first two, and a continuation of what the Lord would have us learn from the second set, that we are the women, and He is the man, and that it is not we who are to speak in the assembly, but Jesus Christ, through the Holy Spirit.

"Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head."

Again, Paul and the Holy Spirit are teaching the disciples in Corinth about submission to the Lord through the Holy Spirit, and the Lord's way in the assembly of His disciples.

Anyone given to speak the words of the Lord through the Holy Spirit speaks as a man, because it is not they that speak, but it is Jesus Christ, the head of the body, the husband of the bride, who speaks.

They are not to speak with their head down, veiled, or hidden, hindering the meaning of what the Lord would clearly declare through the Holy Spirit. To hinder the work of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit is to dishonor Him. This is the meaning of the man having his head covered, his head down, or hidden.

"And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is just as though her head were shaved."

Anyone not given to speak by the direction of Holy Spirit speaks out of turn, not in submission to the Lord by the Holy Spirit, but of themselves, and the glory of their own flesh. This is a disgrace, for the disciple has discarded submission to the Holy Spirit just as a woman discarding her hair by shaving her head. Where the flesh should not be seen, it is seen by all and exalted. It is given a place that belongs to Jesus Christ alone, and dishonors Him. In this, we are the skin of the head, and Jesus Christ is the hair. We are not to be seen, but Jesus Christ is to be seen, for His glory. This is the meaning of a woman whose head is uncovered, or shaved.

1 Corinthians 11:10 speaks of a sign of authority on the woman's head. This is not a sign of being in authority, but of being under authority, of being in submission, just as those who take the mark of the Beast are declaring their submission to the Beast and will have put themselves under the authority of the Beast.

"If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her hair cut off; and if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut or shaved off, she should cover her head."

We, as disciples of Jesus Christ, as brides of Christ, are to bear His mark, being in submission to Jesus Christ, and having put ourselves under His authority as our husband. If we throw off this submission, His authority over us, then we act as though we have never received Him, and we return to the way of the flesh that leads to death. If it is disgraceful to live in the flesh, then we should remain in submission to the Lord through the Holy Spirit. This is what is meant when we are told to abide in Jesus Christ. We are to remain faithful brides, not unfaithful ones.

"A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man."

Again, when we are speaking as given of Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit, then we speak as a man, bearing His image, for it is He who speaks through the Holy Spirit. Jesus is not to be covered or veiled, but lifted up. Jesus Christ is the image and glory of God.

If we speak from our flesh, from our own selves, then we speak as a woman who has shaved her head, and thrown off the authority of her husband, Christ. The flesh is not to be lifted up, but overshadowed by the Holy Spirit, as the skin of the head is veiled by hair. As women of Christ, we are to be covered by Him, always.

"For man did not come from woman, but woman from man; neither was man created for woman, but woman for man."

This is why we are to be covered by Him. Jesus Christ did not come from us, but we from Him. We were born again of the Father in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ was not created for us, but we were created for Him, just as Eve was created from Adam's rib. We are to be flesh of His flesh, and bone of His bone, his bride. We are to bear His mark, He is not to bear ours. The glory, power, and authority is His, not ours. This is why His sign of authority is to be on our heads.

In the time of the disciples of Corinth, this spiritual truth was physically pictured in their customs, the customs they practiced as men and women already. Women wore their hair long, men wore it short. Married women covered their heads so that all would know they were married. Paul and the Holy Spirit were speaking of spiritual things in terms of these physical customs, which the Corinthians already understood.

"In the Lord, however, woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God. Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him, but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering. If anyone wants to be contentious about this, we have no other practice—nor do the churches of God."

This no longer speaks of the position of disciples as women and Christ as man and husband, but of gender, normal males and females. In the Lord, women are not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. Even though Adam was created first, and Eve made from his rib, every male in the all the generations to follow were born through a woman. Male and female are equal in the Lord, because in Jesus Christ, there is no consideration taken of physical gender. In the body of Christ, all are dependent on Him, and through Him, each other, unable to say to the others of His body, "I have no need of you."

It is important to understand that the spiritual truth is speaking of more than gender, and in it physical gender is not taken into account.

Disciples of Christ are disciples of Christ. The males are His brides, the females are His brides. All were made His by the Father. This is way it is to be when the disciples gather together to receive of the Lord.

Any disciple, regardless of physical gender, given by the Holy Spirit to speak the words of Jesus Christ, are to speak as the man is described to speak.

Any disciple who is not given by the Holy Spirit to do so, regardless of physical gender, are to remain silent, as the woman is shown to do, remaining in submission to the Lord through the Holy Spirit as a woman honoring her husband.

Any disciple, regardless of gender, who casts off this submission to Christ, exalts their flesh, and is as a woman dishonoring her husband.

It is the same situation as it is with circumcision.

Romans 2:28-29 -
"A man is not a Jew if he is only one outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical. No, a man is a Jew if he is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a man's praise is not from men, but from God."

This way of men and women is not outward, looking to gender, male and female, or looking to outward coverings.

It looks inward, at the heart submitted to Jesus Christ, which has no gender, and at the covering which is the covering of the Spirit, the mark of Jesus Christ, regardless of outward gender, outward covering, written code or custom.

Those covered in this way receive praise not from men, but from God.

Amen.
