THE SPIRIT THAT CONTROLS
WHEN A DEMONIC SPIRIT CONTROLS:
DEAF AND DUMB SPIRITS
(Mark 9:17-18) 17 And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath[b] a dumb spirit 18 [/b]And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and [b]pineth away: [/b] and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.
(Mark 9:22) And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.
(Matt 9:32-33) 32 As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil. 33 And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marveled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel.
EVIL SPIRITS CAN TALK
(Acts 19:15) And the evil spirit answered and said , Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?
(Gen 3:1) Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
THERE ARE UNCLEAN SPIRITS
(Mark 1:23-26) 23 And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit and he cried out, 24 Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God. 25 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. 26And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him.
THEY CAN BE CAST OUT AND CONTROLLED
(Mark 1:34) And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.
UNCLEAN SPIRIT CHARACTERISTICS
(Luke 8:27-29) 27 And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs. 28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not. 29 (For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)
WHEN THE HOLY SPIRIT CONTROLS:
SUPERNATURAL STRENGTH
(Judg 14:5-6) 5 Then went Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath, and came to the vineyards of Timnath: and, behold, a young lion roared against him. 6 And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done.
(Judg 15:14-15) 14 And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands 15 And he found a new jawbone of an ass, [/u]and put forth his hand, and took it, and slew a thousand men therewith.
THE SPRIT OF GOD CAN TURN YOU INTO ANOTHER MAN
(1 Sam 10:6) And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.
THE HOLY SPIRIT CAN SPEAK THROUGH YOU.
(Matt 10:20) For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in YOU.
YOU CAN HAVE GOD’S SPIRIT IN YOU
(Luke 11:13) If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
(John 14:15-17) 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
