I read several places that Christians will be hunted down, persecuted, killed and so on in the last days. Are we allowed to fight back in those times?

my opinion is that the Holy Spirit will give instructions accordingly.
It will depend on the situation.

For example, the Holy Spirit might give instructions on how to prevent the enemy to detect/ enter our homes or invade our privacy. This is in a situation if the Lord requires us to stand our ground to provide help until it's time to go.

Or if the enemy is a large force, then the Holy Spirit will give instructions on how to get to a safer place. The Lord knows the future and will give us instructions at least a few steps ahead of the enemy's planning.

However, there will be situation where we need to fight back. For example, if the enemy is torturing and raping a citizen we need to put a stop to it by force.

If we have to, we fight not because of aggresion or hate but because we love righteousness and because the Lord loves people more than we ever do.

Surely we must hate the sin, but not the sinner who commit these crimes, and the love of God compells us not to hate the people who do these wicked things.

I believe the rest have more to say about this..

I'm looking at the defensive side of this. If they come to do harm to you, surely your not required to just allow it if able to stop it? But i was looking for opinions on this.

This is truly a relative topic to a believer living in these times. I certainly plan on defending all my loved ones to the death! But as denn-al has stated, this must be something guided by the Holy Spirit. Christ stated after he would leave that if you didn't have a sword you had better sell your clothes and buy one. Some say this is meaning to buy a weapon as in a gun to defend yourselves. I suppose it also means you better have the word of God on hand at all times because if you don't have that sword in your arsenal you will truly be at the mercy of evil forces running rampant. And it is that you have hid it in your heart (memorized appropriate passages) that you can draw on it in a moments notice just like a weapon of war. The Lord states through Raymond that we should have places to hide when the real hunt for believers starts. I have had dreams of being hunted by the enemy, I have had dreams of not wanting to even breathe because of the fear of being found. But I have also had dreams of unbelievable victories including the death of many enemy during this time. Let the Spirit be your guide!
