I'm very new to this...but I just wanted to share some experiences I had several days ago with people that may understand the ways of God. I certainly have not been able to get through to anyone in my family and I'm realizing that I have to guard who I speak to from now on. Several days ago I woke up in the middle of the night, I was just wide awake so I began to pray and praise God in bed. Then I heard a voice say in my mind saying " Boat, Boat. I warned them, I kept warning them but they wouldn't listen" I focused on what I was hearing in my mind and I decided I would ask questions since I had no idea what this was about or who. My mind began to race on who I knew had a boat that was close to me and so I asked "Is it so and so?" And the voice said "No". I asked, "Should I be warning so and so" Again I heard "No" I asked who should I be praying for and I got no answer. I pondered on it, prayed about it, went back to sleep and for the rest of the night I kept dreaming about boats. Then last night in my dream I saw the number 8/13-8/16. I also sensed several things. One, that the saints had to pray8/13-8/15 and Secondly, they had to take communion as well. But 8/16 was not a good feeling. I saw rainfall of burning ash falling down, I saw a city at night with it's bright lights shining, a body of water and a bridge and I think I even heard a voice saying "This is the Day of the Lord" Almost like saying "This is my day". I noted all this in my journal like i have been and I just wanted to share it with others, since I can't discuss this with anyone else around me. Any thoughts??

Two things come to mind:

- The fact that you got no answer when you asked who you should be praying for bothers me.

- Did you test the spirit as you asked your questions?

I know I've been misled before by not testing the spirit. Even when I've gotten answers from God, satan WILL stick his head in there, and try to mess with you, unless you test the spirit!

I've had times where I've asked questions, and failed to test the spirit after each answer; in those times, I've had satan mislead me, which messes with me. It's caused me pain before. Later on, God would correct me, which would help me out. But, because I didn't test the spirit, it caused me pain and suffering.

If I were the one to get what you just got, I'd go back and ask God again, testing the spirit, to make sure it was God who told me. God has NO problem with you constantly checking to make sure it's him! As time goes on, you will get to know God's voice better. Still, he WANTS us to test the spirit, to make sure it's him!

Don't beat yourself up over it: mistakes do happen. Just go back to God and ask again, testing the spirit you hear from.

I've been learning this the hard way the last few weeks, so I understand the frustration. Because I didn't test, I suffered through unnecessary pain and torture, because I'd listened to satan. Sometimes we must make mistakes so that we don't make them later.

The Lord isn't mad at you. Just keep on going. He knows you're gonna make mistakes, but as always, he'll continue to train you.
